Is there a rain date?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a rain date given the number of people and preparation that are needed to coordinate the day.
2. What happens to all outdoor sports in the event of rain?
With the exception of soccer, all sports will be moved indoors and modified to a rain schedule in order to accommodate time for each sport in the gym. Soccer will be played outdoors rain or shine.
3. Can soccer be played indoors?
Unfortunately, we do not have the time nor space for soccer to be played indoors.
4. Can I participate in more than more sport/activity?
Yes, you are more than welcome to participate in as many sports/ activities as you wish, however, please keep in mind that all activities run simultaneously throughout the day and you may need to forfeit a game/activity/music solo, etc if they overlap. No person may take your place during the Talent Show.
5. Can I participate in different activities for more than one church?
You can only participate in one church and may not play for one than one church.
6. What happens if I lose my bracelet?
If you lose your bracelet speak with a committee staff member immediately. All participants are required to wear a bracelet throughout the day and will not be able to participate without one.
7. Can I give my participant t-shirt to others to take my spot in an activity?
Under no circumstances are you allowed to give/trade shirts with other participants or spectators.
8. Am I able to get a refund if I am no longer able to participate in the talent show?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds and all payments are final. If you are no longer able to attend, you may have someone else replace you on the day of the event.
9. Will food be provided?
We offer a wide selection of food for sale throughout the day.
10. Where can I park?
All participants are required to park at the train station and shuttle service will be provided for transport throughout the day. Only clergy, handicap, and church buses will be able to park in the church parking lot.
11. What time does the day start?
Registration will begin at 8:00am and all competitions will start at 9:00 am SHARP. All churches must be registered and ready by the start of their first competition, otherwise, the team will be disqualified for that game.
12. What time does the day end?
All activities will end by 6:00 pm followed by an award ceremony. Following the award ceremony, Bishop David will pray vesper prayers.
13. How old do I have to be to play in a sports activity?
Participants playing in sports activities (basketball, soccer, volleyball) MUST be 16 years or older.
14. What does the winning team get?
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, per activity, will receive one trophy for their Church.
15. Who will ref the sports activities?
Referees will be hired from an outside company to ensure fairness and impartiality as well as to avoid any conflict.
